    Description

For sale here is a group of 90 1976 Federal Reserve Notes, all of which have a stamp and/or a contemporary postmark on them. Many (but not all) of them are crisp CU and the postmarks are mostly the correct April 13, 1976 date which was when the FRN was officially issued by the Federal Reserve Bank.  On a few notes, the stamps are on the back or are missing altogether. But for the most part they are normal which is to say, there is a correct date  and it and the stamp are on the front. The note itself might be folded but is obviously was never in actual circulation. The postmarks are a myriad of different styles and locations representing the state of the US post office in 1976, and that is what will make this hoard most interesting to a collector in my opinion. That and the variety of different 13 cent stamps (the 1st class postage rate in 1976) that are present. This fun group of 0 face value in Series 1976 Federal Reserve Notes is for sale here without reserve.
